BringGo USA & CAN App Reviews

Useless

Glad I only wasted a dollar. Chevrolet has a real loser on their hands with this. :-(

Do Not Buy

This app is horrible! One of the worst Ive ever seen. I wish I could give this no stars. It is a total waste of money. I wish this was not built into my car. How do I get a refund? I have gotten wrong directions.

Worst nav app available

This "app" is more of a hindrance than anything else. Why on earth would Chevy make this their compatible app when A: its inconvenient to use and B: you have to pay for it. Trust me, a colonoscopy is more pleasant than using this app.

Nope

Well just wrote a long review explaining the cross platform of ios and droid. I had the program on droid and paid the premium being as its the only nav for the mylink chevy. Even though you make an account with them you still will have to pay 59.99 again just from going from droid to iPhone. So long story short with all the wrong roads and even longer incorrect routes its not worth it in the long run. Save your money and just use google maps.

Great value and function

The negative reviews are just plain ill informed. This is an app meant to be played through your car entertainment console, not read on a phone. The maps are downloaded to your phone which makes the loading to your car easy and not dependent on a satellite connection. The navigation is quite intuitive and and thorough for anyone whos ever used a GPS clip on device. The sound and graphics are great, maps were very complete even in my rural area and integration with my car was simple as can be. When you think of what it costs to have a navigation system as an option in a car, this is a really great deal.

Working great so far

Im on my 30 trial of the BringGo app. So far, Im impressed. My background with GPS and navigation apps is that Ive owned Garmin GPS units for about 20 years, and Ive owned a number of iOS gps apps, such as Navigon and Garmin. If you are at all familiar with GPS (and were not talking Waze or Google Maps), then you will feel right at home with BringGo. How it works: the app is a container for map sets, after you install the app you need to download one or more state or province maps. You have the maps on your device, so there is no need for network connectivity once the maps are in place. I dont know how the Traffic feature functions as Im not testing that. 99 cents allows you to try the app for 30 days. After that, its $60, which is less than Ive paid for other GPS apps. There really are quite a few nice features here. It integrates nicely with my Chevy Spark EV, displaying on the dash unit, and even understanding that it is an electric vehicle: it is able to show my range on the map, for example. Lots of features here, lots of options and configurables, reasonably up to date maps, well priced, integrates with my in dash unit.

Dont waste your money

The voice command never worked while my iPhone was connected to my Chevy Trax. Contacted app help support and never responded. Worst app ever, dont waste your money on this, I want my money back.

Massive errors in the app

DO NOT BUY THIS APP, IT IS LOADED WITH ERRORS. I just wrote a long review with a full explanation but I found out when I was done if the username you choose is already taken Apple kills all you have typed and starts the review process over. Here is the short version, tons of bugs, customer service could not help at all, stick with turn by turn voice guidance by using Siri Eyes Free.

Does what it should

Bought this since it syncs to my Chevy Spark EV. Love it. No issues.

Horrible!!

I bought apps for eastern USA and Western Europe. The Europe maps downloaded with no issue, dont know yet how well it works. The Eastern USA map in the other hand...crap! App downloaded but after a multitude of attempts to download the maps to the app...I deleted the app!! It freezes and does not populate the maps for me, paid only a dollar but even that was way too much to pay for this crappy app!

Dont was your $0.99

Sooo...I just bought a 2015 Chevy Sonic......this doesnt work.......on my phone so it wont sync in the car....

$60 after 30 days is a complete rip off

I did not buy a $20k car to spend more money out of pocket for little things that should be included, like the only possible GPS app that will run on the touchscreen device. If they keep trying to gouge us like this, theyll keep getting 1 star reviews. 2.5 stars is already very low.

Dollar for a trial

Bought cause I wanted to use the in-dash display with my Chevy. Thought that the 60.00 in app was for map updates and traffic. And 1.00 was for just the map with ads. Nope 1.00 for 30 day trial. A trial.

Solid GPS but expensive

I bought this to use with my Chevy Spark. It works well and delivers on the basic functions. However it is an expensive option to get navigation on the car screen vs. just using on your phone.

Couldnt be worse

At $.99 it was worth a look, or so I thought. I was wrong. The user interface is less than intuitive, it consumes massive amounts of storage, and your phone cant do much else while it is running. It also wouldnt agree on my home address. My 4 year old Garmin Nuvi is back in the car and my iPhone now has lots of available memory.

Frustrated with this app

I want to like BringGo, I really do. I have purchase the TomTom app and am currently using the Waze app. I would switch in a minute to BringGo but the cost for only one map update a year is rather silly.

Good App, old maps :(

Sad thing is, that the app works well. But the map data it has is 18 months old. So, new streets and road closures dont show up and their POI database is out of date too. The sushi place that closed 6 months ago? Still being shown. Plus when you pay for the Map subscription it only lasts 3 years. So, I have 5 months left to get an updated map before they want me to pay them again.

Maps

After the new update I lost of my maps and had to reinstall the maps that I needed to travel

Dont buy this. Use Google Maps.

This app is expensive, hard to use, and drains your phone battery. Trust me, dont buy.

Not Worth It

Using the trial before I spend the money, but wont be paying for the full version. Maps are currently 18 months out of date and support wont give a straight answer when an update is coming if any. Other apps are updating frequently. Love the interface with my Sonics MyLink, but useless without accurate maps. My public street has been here 10 years and doesnt show on map. Not even worth the .99 trial. UPDATE.....Ive gotten 3 responses from "support" and they have yet to admit that they are still shipping old map versions from 2014. Apple needs to remove this app until the developer becomes trustworthy.
